Hey! Today's question is:
"Why do you think George Orwell chose to represent Soviet communism and totalitarianism through a children's-like fable? Explain yes?"
I think George Orwell wrote Animal Farm as a children's-like fable because it makes it easier for people to understand the circumstances surrounding the Russian Revolution. In the Prologue, George Orwell talked about censorship of the media and how, at the time, most people were ignorant about the brutal measures of Stalin. Either that, or people who read true accounts about Stalin's rule dismissed them as false. By incorporating the history of the Revolution into a fable that can be easily understood, I think Orwell tried to get his message across in the most obvious way possible so that the readers can clearly see the negative effects of the Russian Revolution.
I think that Orwell chose to write Animal Farm in the form of a children's-like'fable so that it would be easier for people understand what was going on at that time. Sometimes things such as the the Russian Revolution can be hard to comprehend and acknowledge, since some people have never witnessed these things nor do they want to believe it is true. However, by representing the Russian Revolution in a child-like fable it allows a broader understanding of what is going on and it makes it easy for people to realize that these things happen whether it is fictional or reality.
I think George Orwell decided to write Animal Farm as a children's book because he wanted to make the cause and effects of the Russian Revolution easier to understand. History is difficult to understand (trust me, I take WHAP), so having an important historical event be interpreted in a children's book makes everything more clear. Also, I think George Orwell wanted the storyline to appeal to everyone, so he made the format amusing (I mean, who doesn't like talking animals?). He wanted everyone to understand the book so future generations wouldn't make the same mistakes.
I think George Orwell chose to portray Animal Farm as a children's-like'fable because it opens an easier understanding for the people during the time. It dulled down the intensity of the events that occurred by replacing it will the simplicity of a farm. Presenting Animal Farm as a children's fable provides an easier look at the events happening during the Russian Revolution, it was a way that Owell took to get his idea across easily with simpler ideas.
I feel like the reason why George Orwell chose to represent Soviet communism in a children-like fable is because it is more entertaining to read and is easier to understand especially for younger kids reading and trying to understand the theme of the book. Some people might find the book boring if Orwell actually used the real people that the animals represent like Joseph Stalin, Napoleon, Karl Marx, etc.

It would also be more entertaining to read as a children-like fable instead of reading a boring non-fiction book.
